2018 Puppies

Just a quick update today. The puppies from my 2018 litter between Tess & Buzz are doing well (pictured above), as are the ones from the Lilly & Buzz litter. They are coming up to 4 weeks old now and are already getting big and strong. Here's a picture of both the proud mums before they gave birth to the little ones. This is their dad, Buzz, looking a little rabbit in headlights for his photo call. As you can see they aren't shy about their food. We're looking forward to watching these little ones grow into fantastic dogs.

Successful mating between stud dog Duke & Sky

Duke (left) & Sky (right) I'm pleased to announce that I have now had 2 successful matings between Duke & Sky. I have booked a scan for 3 weeks time, so all going well. Duke & Sky are excellent examples of purebred Labradors, they both have BVA clear eyes and 0:0 hip scores. Obviously you can't guarantee that the pups will have the parents hips, but with breeding like this we stand a strong chance of good hip scores if the pups are raised carefully by their new owners. Can't wait to meet the new little Naughtland puppies.
Buzz Today I finally got the papers from the Kennel Club through that confirm the change of ownership of Buzz, he is now 100% officially a Naughtland dog. Buzz is still settling in, and I'm working hard on helping him to get over his phobia of entrances, thresholds and gates. He's doing a lot better than he was with them when he first came to me.  He's still unwilling to get into the back of my truck with the others, but with time and care he will come to learn to trust and feel safe. I'm looking forward to the day that he gets to see how rewarding a truck ride can be with the extra special walk at the end.

The pups are going home.

Last group shot of the pups. The pups are old enough to go off to their new homes, and this is the last shot of them all together. They've been heading off allover the country to their new homes, and I'm sure they will all make their new families very happy.

Gins Litter 2014

We're pleased to announce a successful mating between Gin (Ettinsmoor Marple at Naughtland) & Skip (Garicmoor Grenadier of Ettinsmoor). You can read more about Gin on the Naughtland Working Labradors site by clicking here. To learn about Skip, on the Ettinsmoor site by clicking here. The puppies from this litter will be hereditarily clear of PRA & CNM. Both parents are BVA eyes clear. We are expecting a good mix of dark yellow and red Labrador puppies from this litter. The pups are expected to be born in between the end of July & the beginning of August.  All puppies are ready to go to new homes 8 weeks after they are born, which will be around mid September. Water Retrieve Training

I took young Mac and the more experienced Pip out today for some water retrieves. Mac has never done a water retrieve by himself before, but he took to the water right away and we had no problems at all. Pip as always was excellent.
